2010, Kala Nidhi Fine Arts of Canada applied for and met the
requirements for charitable registration under the Canada Revenue
Agency’s Income Tax Act. There are a number of ways to get involved with our organization. You can choose to support the overall organization, or specific activities such as the performances, symposia/conferences or professional development. For the past 20 years Kala Nidhi has nurtured the art form of Indian dance by presenting performances, conferences and symposia on the varieties of Indian dance, its history, its pioneers and its contemporary practitioners. Kala Nidhi is the first culturally diverse organization to present public festivals in Canada and the only organization in North America to consistently present international Indian dance festivals, conferences and symposia. Kala Nidhi has taken a pioneering role in presenting the contemporary face of South Asian dance while embracing its traditions and has served as a role model and board member to other India community organizations.. Kala Nidhi has become well-regarded around the world for presenting international Festivals and conferences that feature the finest performers and speakers from India, Canada, the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. Kala Nidhi has also nurtured the careers of Canadian Indian dancers and companies by providing a consistent platform for showcasing their work and by providing professional development and networking opportunities to both emerging and established Canadian Indian dancers.
